THE SKANDERBORG SWALLOWS
We play happy music, popular
Danish and English music – old and new. We also have few Italian
numbers, and a presentation-song that we sing in original Swahili.
The bands front figures, Torben Hedegaard, tells about the numbers,
sings and also plays the drums, and Eva Schmidt sings.
We play for parties and festivals around the country. Outside Denmark
we have played in Greece and Hungary.
In 1998 our first CD came out. Our 2nd CD in autumn 2004. In october
2006 we participate in danish GrandPrix for handicapbands.
The Skanderborg Swallows
orchestra consists of 14 mentally handicapped pupils and their two teachers,
Ed Jones and Svend Hofgaard Møller.
We practice once a week, with in the framework of After School Recreation
Centers, at GJESING FRITIDSSKOLE.
